As a creative musician playing the saxophone for over 35 years, striving for a truly great sound has been a constant personal quest which has ultimately spawned the development of my own line of saxophone mouthpieces. I began as a student of the art of mouthpiece making more than 25 years ago and the fruits of that study have manifested themselves in the TKMP mouthpiece lines available today. The proof of my mouthpieces is in the playing and through my own extensive play-testing I have made discoveries and refinements that continue to this day. Simply, if I am not happy with the way a mouthpiece plays it will not leave the workshop. It is this integrity and devotion that makes what I believe to be the finest saxophone mouthpieces on the market today."

The Ted Klum “New York Model Alto Mouthpieces”, made from the finest German ebonite (hard rubber) and hand finished, these mouthpieces are the newest addition to our line of alto pieces and are created from CAD design that was based on Ted’s personal vintage “Fat Boy” Meyer Bros. from the 1950’s.

Ted Klum London Model hard rubber Alto was designed based on several vintage Berg Larson Altos including Jackie McLean’s which he played throughout the 1980s! It is the brightest and most powerful of our hard rubber alto pieces while retaining warmth throughout the range and not thinning out in the upper register.
This medium bullet chamber was favored by Jazz greats such as Coleman Hawkins, Sonny Rollins, Yusef Lateef, Buddy Tate and many others.

he New London Model is the brightest and most powerful of our Tenor pieces and features the classic British bullet chamber design. It is machined from Brass and meticulously hand finished. The chamber is smaller than our Focustone and provides for ample brightness and power while retaining a full, fat, warm bottom. It has been referred to as the “Ideal Rock and Roll Mouthpiece!”, although it can easily accommodate most any style of music.
