As Soprano saxophone players, we know there are often a lot of unpleasant highs in the sound, especially on the higher notes. With the HR* CUSTOM DARK Soprano, we retained the fun of playing a great Soprano mouthpiece while taking all the unpleasant highs off. In order to achieve this goal, we started with the finest material used in hard rubber mouthpieces today, which is our proprietary Chedeville® Rubber. CHR (Chedeville Rubber) is a softer purer formula than regular standard hard rubber. This rubber imparts a rich warm sound.

the New London Model is the brightest and most powerful of our pieces and features the classic British bullet chamber design. It is machined from Brass and meticulously hand finished. The chamber is smaller than our Focustone and provides for ample brightness and power while retaining a full, fat, warm bottom. It has been referred to as the “Ideal Rock and Roll Mouthpiece!”, although it can easily accommodate most any style of music.

This medium bullet chamber was favored by Jazz greats such as Coleman Hawkins, Sonny Rollins, Yusef Lateef, Buddy Tate and many others.
